History
The tradition of engineering production in company TRANZA dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when in 1911 a manufacturing facility was established in Bøeclav. Production at the Chrudim facility even dates back as far as 1855.
Transport equipment was first manufactured in 1926. Throughout the years of its existence TRANZA has undergone a number of organisational changes, however, in spite of these complicated circumstances, during the most difficult periods of its history, the company has always manufactured technically advanced and high-quality products.
Our important historical milestone:
- 1926 Manufacturing of transportation equipment began
- 1945 Nationalisation
- 1947 Exclusive supplier of conveyors and their components for the Czech mining industry
- 1970 Diversification into the manufacture of elevators
- 1991 Joint venture with OTIS for manufacturing elevators
- 1993 Privatisation
- 1995 TRANZA shares in the elevator joint venture sold
- 1999 Headquarters moved to Brno
- 2001 Chrudim plant acquired (previously part of TRANSPORTA a.s.)
- 2004 TRANZA PowerTech established in Mauthausen (Austria)
